are pets allowed in the studio?

Sure! We love furry models :) Like after every shoot, we just ask that you clean up after yourself - and your friend.

Can I tour the space before I book time?

Sure! We are happy to show off the studio. Get in touch and we can schedule a time.

DO you have seamless paper in the studio I can use?

We have lots of colors you can use. A 6ft sweep can be added to your booking when you check out. Feel free to reach out about our current stock.

I love the studio but i am not a photographer. DO you rent for events?

Sure! We host classes and trainings and parties sometimes. Get in touch!

is glitter allowed in studio?

NOPE. Thank you in advance for respecting this rule. Glitter is very hard to clean up and we want to keep the studio space clean for other renters.

How about candles?

No open flames in the studio please!

Can I shoot boudoir?

Photopia is a “family friendly” studio. Boudoir photography is allowed but must be conducted in the Natural Light Room - the doors close in that room and the windows are frosted for privacy.

You can also shoot boudoir in the other bays if you book the whole studio space.

Can I cancel my appointment?

You can cancel or reschedule no later than 72 hours before your shoot

How far can I book in advance?

60 days

Can i hang things on the wall?

Please do not put nails or pins in the walls or backdrops. Putty or Command Strips are okay (and available for purchase if you don’t have any) - just remember you are 100% responsible for damage to the studio during your session so treat the walls with care.

I am a local business and I want to shoot at Photopia but I don’t have a photographer. Can you RECOMMEND one?

Absolutely! We have talented photographers on staff and as monthly members. Get in touch and we can recommend the photographer we think will be the best fit for your company. We can also recommend great make-up artists, stylists, art directors and more. We have talented friends :)

What if I notice damage when i get to the studio?

Let us know right away! We’d hate for you to be held responsible for something someone else damaged!

What if i need more time than i booked?

If you are in the studio and need more time added to your rental, we can do that at the front desk. As long as no one is booked in the space after you, you are welcome to add on more time.

Can I use the lights?

Two lights are included in your rental if you need them. Additional lights can be rented at $10/each

Can I use the Props?

All props are included in your rental on a first come first serve basis. We just ask that you treat them well and don’t drag the furniture across the floor.

how soon can I book the studio?

The online scheduler will let you book no sooner than 6 hours in advance. Members may book up to one hour in advance.

what if my client is late?

Unfortunately, we have no control over this. Often times other photographers will be booked right after you on the schedule. If time is available, you are more than welcome to book another hour.
